Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia's 14th district, has made several statements on social media regarding public broadcasting entities and their leadership. Her comments focus on perceived bias and misuse of taxpayer funds.

On March 26, 2025, Rep. Greene highlighted a statement made by the CEO of NPR about former President Trump. She claimed that "The CEO of NPR labeled President Trump a 'deranged racist sociopath,' alienating the 77 MILLION people who voted for him." She criticized Ms. Maher for prioritizing deplatforming over upholding First Amendment rights.

Later that day, Rep. Greene issued a closing statement indicating her intention to pursue legislative action against public broadcasting funding. She stated that "After listening to what we've heard today, we will be calling for the complete and total defund and dismantling of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting." She argued that NPR and PBS should operate without taxpayer support.

In another post from March 26, Rep. Greene addressed content aired by PBS, accusing it of spreading propaganda to children using public funds. She asserted that "CEO Paula Kerger lied when she claimed it aired by accident by only a local affiliate." The congresswoman contended that this content was accessible globally online.
