Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congress member from Georgia's 14th district since 2021, has recently made several public statements regarding the funding of NPR and PBS. Known for her outspoken views, Greene took to social media to express her concerns over taxpayer money being used to support these organizations.

On March 26, 2025, Greene posted a message on social media stating, " TUNE IN for my opening statement holding NPR & PBS accountable!" This tweet highlights her intention to address perceived issues with these broadcasters.

In another post made shortly after, she criticized programming on PBS aimed at young children. She wrote, "This is the type of programming your tax dollars are funding on PBS. They are targeting children ages 3-8 with this propaganda. IT'S HORRIFYING!!" The post underscores her disapproval of the content and its target audience.

Further elaborating on her stance, Greene tweeted about an upcoming discussion involving the Committee on Oversight and Accountability. She stated, "WATCH: Opening Statement NPR & PBS have taken advantage of millions of the American people’s hard-earned tax dollars to push Democrat propaganda and alienate more than half of the country." She emphasized that the committee would question why these organizations should continue receiving public funds.
