Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congress member representing Georgia's 14th district since 2021, recently shared her views on several issues through social media posts. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia, and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA, Greene has been vocal about various political matters.
On February 1, 2025, Greene expressed concern over the operations within the Treasury Department. She questioned the necessity of payment officers if they were directed to "literally pay anyone and everyone no matter what," including terrorists. She described this as "the outright rot" being uncovered in the government and added, "Thank God!" "What is the point in even having payment officers at the Treasury if they were directed to literally pay anyone and everyone no matter what?! Even terrorists! The outright rot that is being uncovered and ripped out of our government right now is shocking. Thank God!"
Later that day, Greene voiced her support for prison reform unequivocally by stating she was "100%" in favor of it. "I fully support this form of prison reform. 100%"
In another post on February 1, 2025, Greene commented on her decision not to vote for funding a war she deemed undesirable. She emphasized that the conflict must end and expressed gratitude towards former President Donald Trump for his stance on the issue. "I’m so glad I never voted to fund that horrible war. It must end. Thank you @realDonaldTrump!"
