Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia's 14th district, has recently made a series of statements on social media regarding her legislative agenda and concerns over national issues.

On January 27, 2025, Rep. Greene proposed renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America" through her Gulf of America Act. She emphasized the importance of this act as part of former President Trump's agenda by stating: "It doesn’t matter if you see it from land, sea, or air—the Gulf of Mexico is now the Gulf of America! It’s time to pass my Gulf of America Act to codify President Trump’s agenda!"

Later that day, she expressed her stance against non-governmental organizations (NGOs) using taxpayer dollars for activities she claims facilitate illegal immigration. She announced an investigation into Catholic Charities by her newly formed DOGE subcommittee with these words: "We are not going to tolerate NGOs who take the American people’s hard-earned taxpayer dollars to facilitate the invasion of our country."

On January 28, 2025, Rep. Greene commented on changes made by Google Maps following executive orders from former President Trump. She stressed the need for congressional action to make these changes permanent: "Google has changed its maps to call the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of AMERICA after President Trump’s executive orders." She urged Congress to pass her bill officially changing its name.
