Today, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was appointed as the Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Delivering On Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.). This subcommittee will function under the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which is chaired by Congressman James Comer.

"President Trump was elected with a mandate, and Republicans in Congress must rapidly work towards fulfilling that mandate," stated Greene. She emphasized that D.O.G.E. is an essential component of President Trump's objectives and her subcommittee aims to collaborate closely with him, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and their team to improve government efficiency for American citizens.

Greene highlighted issues such as waste, fraud, mismanagement, and abuse within federal entities ranging from the Social Security Administration to local post offices. She questioned why practices unacceptable in the private sector should be tolerated in government. "YOU, the American taxpayer, pay for the paychecks of every federal employee, including mine," she said. Greene committed to making government operations more efficient and accountable.

Chairman James Comer expressed his support for Greene's new role: "Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is an effective member of the Oversight Committee and I am excited to announce her as the chairwoman of the newly created Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency." He added that her leadership would focus on reducing waste and ensuring accountability within federal bureaucracy.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene also participated in the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform's organizational meeting for the 119th Congress.
