County of Dade recently issued the following announcement.

Here's the latest on the upcoming storm system that is expected to begin affecting the area with gusty winds as early as tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. The heavy rain/severe potential holds off until late tomorrow evening and overnight... continuing into Thursday for parts of our southern and eastern counties. Please read below for more details.
Main points / highlights:
- A Wind Advisory has been issued for much of north and central Georgia beginning around 11AM Wednesday and continuing through 8AM Thursday.
- Sustained winds 15-30 mph with gusts of 35-45 mph at times can be expected.
- The risk for severe weather will increase (from west to east) across the area after 10 PM tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. An ENHANCED risk (level 3 of 5) is touching the Alabama/Georgia state line mainly for strong/damaging winds but a few tornadoes are possible as well.
- Heavy rain will accompany the line of showers and storms with widespread 1-2 inches expected.
- IMPACTS? Several fast-responding creeks and streams will likely approach flood stage in addition to an elevated threat of isolated flash flooding.
