South Georgia Technical College will be offering a new opportunity called the Georgia College Completion Grant Program beginning Fall Semester. This new grant program is designed to assist students who have an outstanding balance due to direct costs at the college and who are within 80% completion of a credential. The maximum award is up to $2,500, depending on the unpaid balance.

Piedmont Newton Hospital has announced Beth Timberlake, MHA, BSN as its new chief nursing officer (CNO). Timberlake joined Piedmont in March 2019, and she served most recently as the director of Women’s and Surgical Services at Piedmont Newton.
Patients will now experience a more streamlined and organized hospital stay thanks to a new Care Traffic Control Center at Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS).
