The Dalton Board of Education has approved Tracey Wade as a district instructional specialist for Dalton Public Schools. Wade has 24-years of experience in education and considerable work in the area of reading and literacy instruction.
Wade most recently was an instructional coach at Pleasant Grove Elementary School in Whitfield County. She started at the school as a teacher in 1998. She was the school’s 2013-14 Teacher of the Year.
She holds a Master’s of Education in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. She also holds endorsements in English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Gifted, Reading, and Teacher Leader. She has received comprehensive training from Orton-Gillingham through Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (ISME), Literacy for All in Providence, Rhode Island, and Teachers College at Columbia University in New York. She is also a Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) Trainer.
