Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congress member representing Georgia's 14th district since 2021, recently shared several tweets expressing her views on government efficiency and accountability. Greene has been an outspoken advocate for reducing what she describes as bureaucratic inefficiencies in the federal government.

On November 21, 2024, Rep. Greene tweeted about the necessity to "DRAIN THE SWAMP," referring to efforts to enhance governmental efficiency through the new GOP oversight subcommittee. She encouraged followers to watch coverage of this initiative via a link provided in her tweet: "It’s time to DRAIN THE SWAMP!!! ▶️ WATCH coverage on the new @GOPoversight Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency."

The following day, November 22, she referenced a Newsweek article outlining her DOGE plan aimed at firing government employees. The plan is part of her broader strategy for reform within federal agencies: "Newsweek: Marjorie Taylor Greene Lays Out DOGE Plan to Fire Government Employees".

Later that day, Rep. Greene addressed statements made by Senator Warren regarding Social Security. She refuted claims that seniors' Social Security benefits would be removed and emphasized plans to investigate various federal entities like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Her tweet stated: "No, Senator Warren, we are not going to take away senior’s Social Security. That’s a lie."
