The majority of students in Walker County School Districts were white in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Among the 9,286 students attending Walker County schools, 85.5% were white. Multiracial students were the second most common ethnicity, making up 5.3% of Walker County student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common ethnicity in Walker County School Districts, representing 86.3% of the student body.

Walker County Schools had the most even distribution of races among county school districts, which included 84% of white students, 6% of multiracial students, and 5% of Hispanic students.

In the 2022-23 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county increased 0.1% when compared to the previous year.
