AAHOA Presents Checks to Atlanta Ronald McDonald House and Children's Hospital of Atlanta Charities

AAHOA hosted five charity golf tournaments over the course of the summer, raising more than $333,000 to support local causes across the U.S. These donations went to 18 charities, making these golf outings exciting and purposeful for all attendees. Two of those charities were the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and AAHOA presented both organizations with their checks earlier this month.

“We completely rely on our community for funding. It costs us $125 to host a family for a night. The average family stays with us an average of nine nights, but there is no limit to how long they can stay. We’ve had people stay almost a year,” said Alissa Scherb, Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. “We thank you so much because we need the money to help these families. And with the inflation and gas rates, it’s becoming harder and harder, so it’s becoming more critical.”

AAHOA is honored to support nonprofits that are doing important work to improve communities.
