Texas: THLA Announces New Federal Grants Available to the Texas Travel Industry

“Texas Travel Industry Recovery Program'' (TTIRP) grant applications will be open between August 22 and September 11. Gov. Abbot’s office is putting together a webinar for later this summer. TTIRP will be administered by the Texas Governor’s office and is anticipated to allow grants of up to $20,000 to each tourism-related business including individual convention and visitor bureaus and individual hotel property applicants.

New Jersey: AAHOA Engaging with Political Advocacy Firms to Advance Pro-Franchisee Efforts

AAHOA has established lines of communications with a lobbying firm based in New Jersey to better help our members connect with their elected officials to discuss the vital franchising legislation, namely A1958. As our talks with local advocacy professionals continue, AAHOA will keep members apprised of the latest developments.

Maryland: MHLA Highlights Montgomery County’s Hotel Relief Grants, Now Open to Local Hoteliers 

A new Hotel Relief Grant Program launched on July 1, for Montgomery County hotels with 10 or more rooms and Bed and Breakfasts with five or more rooms. Applications can be found online at the Montgomery County Business Portal. Applications will be accepted through July 22. The business portal will include program details, including eligibility requirements and frequently asked questions. AAHOA extends our sincere thanks to MHLA for their tireless efforts on behalf of Maryland hoteliers and we look forward to continuing our work in the great state of Maryland.
