City of Varnell issued the following announcement.
Notice is hereby given that the City of Varnell General Election will be held on November 2, 2021 for the offices of Mayor of the City of Varnell, currently held by Tom Dickson,Council Seat # 1, currently held by Bob Roche and Council Seat # 2, currently held by Bill Caylor. The qualifying fee is set at $35.00.
The qualifying period will begin Monday- Wednesday, August 16,17 &18, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the listed days. Qualifying will be held at the Varnell City Hall located at 1025 Tunnel Hill Varnell Road, Dalton, Georgia, 30720.
Persons who are not registered and who desire to vote in the election may do so through the close of business on October 4, 2021 at the Whitfield County Board of Elections located at 205 N Selvidge St, Suite K Dalton, GA 30720. The polls will open on Election Day from 7:00am until 7:00pm. If there is a need for a runoff election, the date of this election will be November 30, 2021.
