Lakeview ranked 330th in state for resident earnings in 2017

Lakeview ranked 330th among cities in Georgia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Lakeview residents was an inflation-adjusted $20,287 per year. Lakeview had 2,036 households in 2017, with a population of 5,546.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Dutch Island. Dutch Island's median income was $61,250 per year after adjusting for inflation – $40,963 more than Lakeview. It had 391 households in 2017 and a population of 998.

Young Harris had the lowest annual resident income among cities in Georgia, with a median income of only $4,226 per year. That was $16,061 less than the median income in Lakeview at the time. Young Harris had 156 households in 2017 and a population of 1,009.
