Sen. Colton Moore, a Republican representing Georgia’s 53rd Senate District since 2023, recently posted several statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account addressing both internal party dynamics and political conduct.

On February 17, 2026, Moore shared a message referencing former President Donald Trump’s comments about potential candidates to replace Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG). Moore quoted Trump: “We have a lot of good candidates that wanna take MTG’s place”. He added his own thanks and encouraged supporters to join his campaign efforts.

Later that day, Moore criticized fellow lawmakers for their lack of attendance at official duties. In his post from February 17, he stated: “One thing I can’t stand in politics is cowardice. I’m calling out senators who couldn’t even be bothered to show up and do the job the people elected them to do. Georgia families don’t get to skip work when things get tough, and neither should the politicians we pay.”

On February 18, Moore reported another straw poll victory at the Cobb County GOP meeting. He expressed gratitude for local support and described witnessing controversial behavior during the event: “Another straw poll win at the Cobb County GOP. Thank you Cobb County for your patriotism and commitment to the fight for freedom. We learned a lot tonight. And even witnessed a self-conscious candidate throwing around woke slurs that would make the radical left’s hearts’ melt.”

Moore succeeded Jeff Mullis as state senator after winning election in 2023 as a member of the Republican Party.
