Sen. Colton Moore, a Republican who has represented Georgia’s 53rd Senate District since his election in 2023, used his social media account to address issues ranging from antitrust concerns in the beef industry to upcoming political races and special elections.

On January 5, 2026, Moore posted about concerns over beef prices and alleged market manipulation. He stated, “We need antitrust investigations NOW to break up this beef cartel. Beef at the store is $10 a pound while live cattle prices are crashing. That’s not an accident. It’s market manipulation by the Big Four multinational packers who control 85% of the beef processing in America.”

Later that day, Moore discussed his campaign efforts for an open seat in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. He wrote on January 5, “The seat is open and the timeline is tight. We are the front runner in this race it’s time to show everyone what our grassroots supporters can do. We’ve got fresh signs ready to go and a lot of work ahead. If you’re in GA-14 and want to help, now is the time to raise your hand”.

On January 6, Moore announced details regarding a special election: “Patriots, it is official. The special election for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District is set for March 10th. That is just over two months away, and we cannot waste a single day. Northwest Georgia needs every 100% Pro Trump, Pro Life, and Pro Gun patriot to show up strong.”

Moore succeeded Jeff Mullis as state senator after winning election in 2023. He has been active on legislative issues affecting both his district and statewide interests.
