Saint Joseph Medical Group has donated six sonography machines to Morehead State University to support the university’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Bachelor of Science program. The new equipment is expected to enhance hands-on learning for students, providing them with access to advanced imaging technology as they prepare for careers in health care.
The DMS program at Morehead State University combines classroom teaching with clinical training and offers concentrations such as Abdomen/Vascular and Abdomen/OB-GYN. Graduates from the program have consistently achieved exam pass rates and job placement figures above state and national averages.
“This donation reflects our commitment to advancing health care education in Kentucky,” said Carmel Jones, MBA, CPA, CMPE, market president, Physician Enterprise. “By investing in Morehead State’s sonography students, we are helping prepare the next generation of imaging professionals who will care for patients in our communities for years to come.”
The donation underscores Saint Joseph Medical Group’s ongoing efforts to strengthen health care education and ensure that future professionals receive practical experience needed for their studies and future work.
