According to the data, overall enrollment at New Hope Elementary School reached 511 students for 2024-25. Multiracial students accounted for 5% of the student population, ranking as the third-largest demographic group in the school.
The school belongs to Whitfield County School District, which has its central office based in Dalton.

Georgia public schools enrolled more than 1.7 million students, according to the Georgia Department of Education’s Fiscal Year 2026-1 report. Elementary grades made up the largest share with 787,206 students (45.9%), followed by 388,733 students (22.7%) in middle school and 539,092 (31.4%) in high school.
Chronic absenteeism continues to be a prominent concern for Georgia schools after the pandemic, with 20.7% of students missing 10% or more school days in 2024, the Georgia Department of Education reports. In an effort to address the problem, GaDOE started a statewide initiative including a real-time attendance dashboard, a public awareness campaign, and targeted support for high-need districts to promote consistent attendance.
In 2025, Georgia lawmakers approved legislation that updates school attendance laws to prevent expulsion solely for absenteeism. The legislation also introduces new reporting requirements and supports efforts to help students complete diplomas through alternative routes.
By 2026, Georgia reported an average student-to-teacher ratio of roughly 14:1, which was better than the national average of 15:1.
