The Carson-Newman Eagles, featuring former Murray County High School standout Mattie Nuckolls, secured an 85-73 victory over the Columbus State Cougars on Friday, March 13 in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, held at B. Frank Tex Turner Arena at 7:30 p.m., marked the Eagles’ first tournament game against the Cougars.
Carson-Newman’s next contest is scheduled for Monday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at B. Frank Tex Turner Arena.
