Logan Haskins, PA-C, has joined Saint Joseph Medical Group – Orthopedics in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Haskins, originally from Owingsville, stated that his decision to enter health care was influenced by witnessing people struggle with addiction and wanting to help them manage pain more effectively.
“I saw people struggle with addiction and I wanted to help people avoid addiction through better management of their pain,” Haskins said. He comes from a family with a background in caregiving, as both his mother and sister are nurses.
Haskins chose orthopedics because it allows him to assist patients with direct solutions such as joint replacements, steroid injections, or medication. “When somebody comes in struggling with arthritis, with knee pain … we’re able to help them control pain and give them their lives back,” he said. “We can help with the pain they deal with on a daily basis.”
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Morehead State University in 2022 and completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Kentucky in July 2025.
Haskins expressed enthusiasm about working at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Orthopedics due to its proximity to his home and positive experiences during his training alongside Anup Chattha, MD, and Robert Coleman, PA-C. He emphasized patient-centered care: “I like to work with my patients and give them all the options available to them, not pigeon-hole them into one treatment option,” Haskins said. “Ultimately, the patient is the one who is going to make the decision so finding what fits their everyday life will be the most successful treatment.”
