Josiah Chiesa, a former standout at Christian Heritage High School, took the mound on Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. as his current team, the LaGrange Panthers, fell 11-6 to the Berry Vikings in NCAA Division III baseball action.
Cleaveland Field was the venue for the contest, which marked the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Panthers prevailed in their earlier game on Tuesday, March 10, with a 16-4 victory over the Vikings.
Chiesa tossed two innings, giving up one earned run, walking one, and striking out one batter during his outing.
The Panthers will return to Cleaveland Field on Saturday, March 21, at 2 p.m. for their next matchup against the Asbury Eagles.
