The majority of students in Walker County School Districts were white in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Among the 9,329 students attending Walker County schools, 84.6% were white. Multiracial students were the second most common ethnicity, making up 5.5% of Walker County student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common ethnicity in Walker County School Districts, representing 85.5% of the student body.

Walker County Schools had the most even distribution of races among county school districts, which included 83% white students, 6% multiracial students, and 5% Hispanic students.

In the 2023-24 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county increased by 0.5% when compared to the previous year.
