At 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, the Covenant Scots baseball team, which features former Heritage High School standout Zach Barrett, were defeated 6-2 by the Asbury Eagles in an NCAA Division III contest.
Cecil Zweifel Field hosted the matchup, which marked the teams’ second showdown this season. The previous day, Friday, March 13, the Scots prevailed 12-11 over the Eagles.
During the contest, Barrett allowed five earned runs over 3.2 innings pitched, tallying five walks and three strikeouts.
The Scots are scheduled to play the Asbury Eagles again at Cecil Zweifel Field on Saturday, March 14, with a 3:30 p.m. game time.
