Camille Haycock has been named Press Ganey’s HX26 CXO of the Year, an award that recognizes leaders who prioritize patient experience as a central aspect of care delivery. The honor highlights Haycock’s work in integrating patient experience into daily clinical routines and organizational strategy at CommonSpirit Health.

Haycock collaborated with nursing, physician, and operational leaders to make patient experience part of routine practice. She connected experience measurement with care delivery and worked to align this data with quality and safety goals. Her efforts have led to clear performance standards and helped leaders use insights for targeted improvements across the system.

Patrick T. Ryan, Chairman and CEO of Press Ganey, said, “Camille Haycock brings clarity and discipline to how patient experience is led at scale. She has earned trust across CommonSpirit by holding patient experience to the same standards as quality and safety. By aligning data, accountability, and daily practice, she has helped create a shared operating model across a complex national system. Camille sets a bar for what it means to lead experience with rigor, consistency, and follow-through.”

Wright Lassiter III, President and CEO of CommonSpirit Health, commented, “Camille is wildly committed to elevating patient experience. For Camille, patient experience isn’t an organizational initiative. It’s part of the fabric and fiber of what CommonSpirit is. And she wants every patient to have the experience that she would want for members of her own family.”

Kathleen Sanford, DBA, RN, FAAN, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at CommonSpirit Health added: “Patient experience is at the heart of our mission. We’re really lucky to have someone like Camille who is passionate about it and who understands that it’s not just about metrics, but about every experience that we have with patients.”

Haycock accepted the award during Press Ganey’s HX26 conference in Orlando. In her remarks, she credited both the CommonSpirit patient experience team and all providers for their dedication to improving patient experiences.
