At 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, the Covenant Scots, featuring former Gordon Lee High School standout Adkin Finch, were defeated 6-2 by the Asbury Eagles in NCAA Division III baseball action.
The contest was played at Cecil Zweifel Field and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. The Scots had edged out the Eagles 12-11 in the previous matchup on Friday, March 13.
Finch pitched 4.1 innings, allowing one earned run and striking out four.
The Scots are set to take the field again against the Asbury Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Cecil Zweifel Field.
